There is always more than one way....
Colors and shapes. They had always attracted me. The simplest objects are full of mystery to me, challenging. Sometimes less realistic ideas are born, before or within the process of painting.
Ink gives me a good portion of Adrenalin; once the line is there you can't change it. The entire body moves in order to get the perfect line, although sometimes mistakes are very lucky... I love the intensity and the graphic value of a quality ink drawing!
Feeling chaotic, or just finding materials that speak to me, the freedom to MIX is a great way to let go!
The rhythm and the pleasant sound of natural charcoal on paper, moving along and using the charcoal as an extension of my hand and body, the possibilities that this instrument has are not like any other! I even draw with the vacuum cleaner!
I enjoy playing with the 2D reality, telling stories that make me laugh or cry. In this medium everything seems flat and easy!
When the pieces come together, one on top of other, it is great fun. You play and play until it's done, even if it is 5 o'clock in the morning, just can't stop!
The pencil's qualities are known to but a few.
Its expressiveness is much more than when it's used for writing or making schemes.
Fast, light, gentle, fluid, it seems so easy... Using the paper as your white is challenging. I personally enjoy this technique very much, since it has the ability of capturing the moment, and there is no room or time for regrets. I work without any pencil underlining.
One can't get more colorful than that! When the light hits it, it is a spectacle to the eyes.
